First Camp Orsa

As soon as you enter the campsite, your eye catches the vast beach along Lake Orsasjön. This beach is one kilometre long, shallow and clear – perfect for families with young children. Here you can build sandcastles together, cool off in the crystal-clear water or quietly float away with the gentle murmur of the lake in the background. The mountain peaks on the horizon complete the picture. But you don't have to leave the campsite for water fun. At First Camp Orsa, there is a heated pool complex where you and your children will not be bored for a moment. The pirate ship in the children's pool immediately sets the tone: play, climb and slide until the sun goes down. The slide in the large pool challenges older children to a quick dip, while you relax on the sunbathing lawn with a book. For the little one,s there is a clearly arranged paddling pool, where the first splashes and swimming moves can be practised safely.

From sunrise to sunset, there is plenty to do at First Camp Orsa. Three spacious playgrounds keep kids constantly moving, with bouncy castles and climbing equipment that capture the imagination. Right on the beach is the volleyball court, where families can play a game together. Prefer something quieter? On the adventure golf course, you can challenge the whole family to a merry tournament. Looking for action? Then try stand up paddling on the lake –fun, refreshing én a great way to see the area from the water. Or hit a ball on the tennis court while the kids have fun at the Kids Club. During the summer, mascot Yessi provides a cheerful program full of games, dancing and crafts. Dining is done with a view: the brasserie and bistro are right on the water. Enjoy a pizza or a local lunch while overlooking the shimmering lake. ’In the evening, performances by Swedish artists provide a cosy atmosphere – with live music, dancing or just a relaxing drink while the sun slowly sinks behind the mountains.

The nature surrounding First Camp Orsa invites you to explore. Take a walk through the nearby Trolldalen nature reserve, where ancient rock walls and dense forests take you to a fairytale world. Here, children walk the narrow paths full of wonder, looking for elves or forest animals.  Fancy a day full of experiences? Just 1.5 hours away is the historic Falu Gruva mine. Go underground with the whole family and discover the life of the miners of the past – impressive and educational. For the little ones, Lilla Säter in Säterdalen is an absolute must. This miniature town is a children's paradise full of fantasy and play, where role-playing and discovery take centre stage. Within a radius of 20 kilometres, you will also discover charming villages with Swedish wooden houses, small boutiques and local markets where you can really taste the atmosphere of Dalarna.
