Then jump from the diving tower as high as 10 metres into the clear seawater. The natural seawater lagoon is a favourite spot for families: the water is calm, the view wide. From the water, the archipelago is at its most beautiful. Rent a kayak or SUP and paddle between islets, or opt for a quiet rowboat and discover a secluded cove. Life jackets and paddles are already at the ready. Still prefer to be on dry land? Then a pedal cart ride or bike ride along the coast is a wonderful way to explore the area.

Days at First Camp Gunnarsö are filled with fun, sports and relaxation. While you start the day with a walk along the waterfront, the children start their mornings in the creative craft club. That's sure to succeed on the basketball court or during a game of beach volleyball. The adventure golf meanders between rocks and greenery, a fun challenge for the whole family. The climbing and obstacle course in the middle of nature is a real paradise for daredevils. As night falls, the campsite comes alive with live music or an evening activity. Did all that being outdoors make you hungry? The campsite's bistro serves tasty dishes overlooking the sea. For a fresh breakfast or an ice cream in the afternoon, stroll over to the camp store, which also offers local delicacies.

Only 2.5 kilometres is the port of Oskarshamn, where ferries take you to islands like Öland, Gotland or the mysterious BlåJungfrun – ideal for a day on the water. Want to surprise the kids with a magical day out? Astrid Lindgren’s World in Vimmerby, just an hour's drive away, brings the famous author's books to life. At the Kingdom of Crystal, glassblowers demonstrate their centuries-old craftsmanship, a fascinating experience for young and old. Oskarshamn itself is easily reached on foot. Stroll through the historic streets, discover local boutiques and visit one of the museums. You are also in the right place for sporting excursions: within a half-hour drive are several golf courses in green, peaceful surroundings.
