Camping Playa Montroig is the top campsite on the Costa Dorada. Camping Playa Montroig is a beautifully maintained campsite with direct access to the beach, it has many facilities, beautiful tropical gardens and a lively restaurant with a lounge terrace. The heated pool has a number of new slides and waterfalls. This is the perfect campsite for a family holiday.

Swimming facilities at Camping Playa Montroig

The fantastic swimming pool complex has various water features and activities. The swimming pool complex has 6 slides and a separate children’s pool. This year a new aquatic leisure area of 850 m² has been opened up.  In the spa is a jacuzzi and the price is 20€/person for two hours. There is plenty of space around the pool to relax under the palm trees. There is a bar directly by the pool where you can buy a refreshing drink. There is the option of participating in organised pool activities such as aqua aerobics and various water games.

The campsite facilities at Camping Playa Montroig

Quality and service are priorities at Camping Playa Montroig. There are several restaurants and bars which offer a delicious local menu. There are plenty of facilities for sports lovers as well; camping Playa Montroig has 3 tennis courts, a basketball court and a newly refurbished mini golf course. The campsite has its own jetty in the high season, or jetskis and small boats.  On the beach, there are various water sports like surfing, kayaking and pedal boats as well as beach volleyball competitions.

Nearby Camping Playa Montroig

The Costa Dorada is steeped in ancient culture, which is visible everywhere in the region. Cambrils, at only 7 miles from camping Playa Montroig is renowned for its culinary heritage and Tarragona at 26 miles has the famous Roman ruins to offer. The Catalan capital of Barcelona is definitely worth a visit.

Please note that hoverboards are not allowed on this campsite.
IMPORTANT - VERY STRICT CAMPSITE Only your family (parents and children) are allowed to stay in a mobile home. Groups of friends or multiple families are not allowed in the same mobile home, and no more than 6 people are allowed to stay in each mobile home. Group bookings are limited to two families together - larger groups are not allowed. Swimwear: burkinis and other long clothing are not permitted in the swimming pool.

Amazing pools and beach in a beautiful clean park
Lovely pool complex, I like that there are no sun beds and the life guards are very on the pool keeping everyone safe and under control. The pool was nice and quiet in the mornings even at peak time in August. By lunch it did get busier.
Accommodation was well positioned. Only a 5 min walk to everything. Even though everything was so close it was really lovely and quiet at night. You couldn’t hear any music. Lots of space around accommodation
The beach was lovely. To the left it was more sandy, shallow and clear. But straight ahead had some nice rocks for good snorkelling. The kids loved swimming out to the jetty and the restaurant on the beach and main restaurant was amazing.
You had to pay for it extra activities such as table football, pool and golf.
The crepes in the plaza were expensive. It was €1 for the first topping and then €1.50 for the second topping. This wasn’t clear. Ice creamslso small
The crepes were much nicer at the caravan however the lady did sneeze on her hands and not wash them.

We had an excellent time. Pools warm and the sea even warmer. Very relaxing, beautiful clean park. I just loved the sandy safe beach. The food was delicious particularly the garlic prawns and paella. The reps were super friendly and very laid back. Sent me a message on whats app for arriving and any questions I could just send back. Lovely lady at the hair braiding stall was so kind to my daughter. Air con was really good in accommodation and in all restaurants which was needed in the heat so it felt very comfortable even in extreme heat.
