Camping Playa Bara has everything for a pleasant holiday on the Costa Dorada, the ‘gold coast’ of Spain. The campsite is situated within walking distance of a wide sandy beach and offers a beautiful swimming pool with Jacuzzi. A holiday on this campsite must include a visit to the magnificent city of Barcelona which is just an hour’s drive from the campsite.

Swimming facilities at Camping Playa Bara

Enjoy the relaxation of the heated swimming pool with Jacuzzi lined with palm trees. The children’s pool is great fun with fountains and an activity area. There is also a slide pool with 4 water slides! For a refreshing drink, there is a bar next to the pool.

For those seeking activity at Camping Playa Bara there is a dedicated sports zone with basketball, volleyball, handball and football pitches, as well as tennis courts and practice walls. Other activities include table tennis, mini golf, and there’s even a roller-skating facility. For children, there are also various play areas. In the evening, there is a varied entertainment programme with dance nights, shows and parties in the Roman amphitheatre.

Nearby Camping Playa Bara

The nearest town is Coma Ruga, just 4 miles away, where you can take the train to Barcelona. Closer to the campsite there are many other fantastic destinations to visit. Tarragona, situated high above the sea, with its long history offers a marvellous view of the Roman ruins and aqueduct from the Balcón del Mediterráneo. Reus is a pretty shopping town and the birthplace of Antoni Gaudí. Approximately 6 miles from the campsite in El Vendrell is the Aqualeon water park and safari. Another great place to visit is the Parc Naturel de Delta de l’Ebro, south of Tarragona.

This campsite does not accept 2 families travelling together and no young people, no visitors and no single-sex groups. Maximum 1 family per accommodation (including any grandparents).

Fantastic campsite - brilliant for families!
Campsite was beautiful. Grounds and pools are lovely and clean. Location was great. Not too busy or cliché touristy, with lots to do and see in and around the site.
Campsite felt safe and secure, especially for children. There was no loud rowdy drunk crowds, even at the evening shows (which were also brilliant!). Always a lovely relaxing, safe vibe on site.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. If we needed anything it was handled immediately & always with a smile.
Cannot fault anything! We had some ants appear on first day (which is to be expected in a campsite) and the staff provided us with products to remove them, which worked immediately. Rest of the holiday was ant free!

We loved it from start to finish. Even though we arrived earlier than check in time, our bungalow was ready for us. We were helped with our luggage which was lovely after a long day travelling. If we needed anything at all during our stay, the staff were so helpful. Supermarket was great, lots of choice of delicious foods with fresh baked goods, meats and fruit & veg daily. We tried all the restaurants and they were all lovely. The pools were lovely and clean with plenty of room. The grounds were just magnificent to walk around, the playgrounds were a big hit with our little one. Bungalow was nice and clean. It was lovely to spend time in the campsite during the day as there was loads to do. Plenty to do and see outside the campsite too, location was great. The evenings were lovely as the mini disco was fun & the animation team were fantastic & so talented! Even to sit outside the bungalow at night was lovely as there was no rowdy noise, it was calm and quiet, even hearing the music from the amphitheatre was nice. We loved everything about our holiday, the campsite was great - fun, relaxing & safe. The amenities of the site were brilliant. We were so sad to leave & will definitely be back again next year!
