It's important to note that this review is from the perspective of "first camping with a tent for 15 years"! In 2023, we were camping with a tent on Elba in Marina di Campo. We were already camping with our parents, and we'd been doing it ourselves for about 13 years. After last year's intense heat, a small sandbox being our spot (after the assigned spot didn't even fit our tent; I don't understand why you even need to provide the dimensions then), and being 50 meters away from a glass container that was filled at 12:30 AM and emptied at 6:30 AM, it was over and done with, and our love of camping. Never again! Booked a bungalow at this campsite for the first time! What a wonderful, relaxing holiday we had! It was wonderful. And yes, you pay double for a shorter stay, but this time it was truly a holiday! Were there any areas for improvement? Yes, there's always something to complain about, but for us, this campsite was perfectly taken care of. The staff were often friendly, but sometimes a bit understaffed in the restaurants, and the extra services were very helpful (extra towels, transporting our belongings to and from the bungalow). Our son really missed a (small) panna/soccer field, which he found a real shame. Otherwise, it was relaxing and we enjoyed the wooden bungalow, Barcelona, Tossa, kayaking, and so much more! Thanks! Oh yes, and yes, wild boars are occasionally welcome in the Tossa de Mar countryside. If you don't want that, I recommend everyone to go on holiday to the Veluwe 😉
