Camping Santillana del Mar

This campsite’s lovely swimming pool is a wonderful place to cool off on hot summer’s days. The pool is open in July and August. The setting is truly stunning, as the pool is situated in a beautifully landscaped, green garden and is surrounded by majestic palm trees. Whilst your children play happily in the separate paddling pool, you can find yourself a comfortable spot on the grassy sunbathing area. Fancy a day at the beach? From the campsite, it’s just a short trip to the lovely beaches of the nearby coastal town of Suances. Here, the children can build sandcastles, hunt for shells or even try an exciting surfing lesson.

There’s plenty for the whole family to get up to at this friendly campsite. The little ones will have a brilliant time in the cheerful playground and with the active entertainment programme, which organises fun games during the summer months. Sporty family members can let off steam on the sports pitch, where you can play football and basketball together. There’s also a cosy games room and a mini-golf course at the campsite for a challenging round with the whole family. Don’t feel like cooking one evening? The campsite is in a fantastic location for exploring the unique region of Cantabria. The medieval streets and historic houses of Santillana del Mar are within walking distance and are lovely to stroll through with the children. For an unforgettable day out, take the family to the nearby Cabárceno Nature Park. This is a huge zoo where wild animals live in large, natural enclosures. Spain’s largest natural maze in Villapresente is also just round the corner and guarantees hours of fun and laughter. Finally, the impressive Altamira Caves are an absolute must-see for an educational and exciting adventure.
