Camping Morillo de Tou

Lovers of water can't believe their luck in this sunny part of Aragon. The focal point of the campsite is the outdoor pool, which is beautifully situated in the sun. As you swim the lanes, you look out over the rugged mountain peaks; it really gives you a sense of freedom. For the little ones, there is a small paddling pool where they can splash around and play with watering cans. Would you rather swim in natural water? The campground is right on the huge Mediano reservoir. It's a magical place to rent a canoe with the kids or just sit with your feet in the fresh water while the sun slowly sinks behind the mountains.

This campsite is actually a complete village. It feels very cosy and safe for families. There are green fields everywhere and fun playgrounds with swings where kids will make new friends in no time. During the summer months, there is an enthusiastic entertainment team that organises everything from crafts to sports games. You can even enjoy a game of padel or tennis here. Don't feel like cooking? In the cosy restaurant Casa Cuello, located in a beautiful old building with a traditional roof, they serve delicious local dishes. There is also a small supermarket for fresh rolls in the morning and a library if you just want to quietly read a book in the shade.

You are in the heart of the Pyrenees here, so put on those hiking boots! Just fifteen minutes away is the medieval town of Aínsa. Tip: Be sure to go there in the late afternoon. The old squares and stone houses are beautiful, and the kids will feast their eyes on the old castle. For the truly adventurous, the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park is an absolute must. Here you will find impressive waterfalls and routes that are also doable for children. Want to do something really unique? Book a boat trip on the lake or go rafting with the whole family on the nearby Ara River. It's the perfect mix between soaking up culture and being active outdoors.
