Camping La Sierrecilla

On hot days, the pool is the centrepiece of the campsite. The spacious pool is lovely in the sun, with enough sunbeds around it to spend an afternoon doing nothing. For the little ones, there is a separate children's pool where they can splash and play safely. The view of the surrounding hills immediately gives that holiday feeling. And thanks to the open nature of the pool, the kids can enjoy themselves while you keep an eye on them from the shade or with your feet in the water. Please note that the pool is open from mid-June to mid-September.

The restaurant Sabor Andaluz serves local dishes that will make you happy – think homemade paella or tapas with a cold drink on the side. Indoors or outdoors…anything goes. The restaurant is open year-round, as is the café and bar.

Children will have a blast at the Multi-Adventure Park, which includes a climbing wall, zip line, rope bridges and archery. All supervised and suitable for children ages 6 and up. In summer and during holidays, the place buzzes with activities. 

Parents appreciate the practical amenities: there's a laundry room open 24 hours a day, free wifi in a number of places, and even a sauna for a small price. For babies’s there's a heated changing room, and people with disabilities have been thought of, too: with adapted bathrooms, a ramp and support brackets.

Located in quiet Humilladero, La Sierrecilla is an ideal base for day trips. Antequera, a 20-minute drive away, is a charming town with churches, squares and the impressive rock formations of El Torcal. Fancy a touch of adventure? The famous Caminito del Rey is spectacular, but also doable for active families with slightly older children.

Animal lovers should definitely head to the Lobo Park, where wolves can be admired up close. And for a beach day, drive to the coast at Málaga in less than an hour. At the campsite itself, you can get tourist info, hiking trails and tips – all available at the reception.
