Camping Paestum is located in a green and shady environment and is a wonderful place for families who like to spend their holidays in a rural environment. It is an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful landscapes and surrounding coastal areas in the south of Italy. Nature lovers can take a trip to the Minerve de Salerno botanical garden or visit the caves of Castelcivita.

Swimming at camping Paestum

The campsite has a large swimming pool with a small water slide and a children's pool where the little ones can have fun. There is also a children's area with water toys and slides. Along the pool are sunbeds and umbrellas so you can relax in between swimming. The beach is just 400 metres from Camping Paestum, and the shuttle bus service takes you there in no time. On the beach you will find sun beds and umbrellas and a lifeguard will keep an eye on safety. In the beach bar you can get a nice cool drink to cool off the hot days.

Activities on camping Paestum

The campsite has a lot of fun activities to keep you busy. There is archery, basketball, football, beach volleyball, bowling, canoe rental, gymnastics, pilates, table tennis, and tennis - equipment for tennis must be brought by guests. No need to get bored! The animation team is on hand all day to entertain young and old. They organise a mini-club, sports tournaments, and various evening shows.

Things to see and do

There is a bus stop outside the campsite. The bus will take you to the cities of Agropoli and Salerno, both at about 30 minutes drive. The campsite is a good starting point to visit Naples and Pompeii, situated at just 30 minutes by car. Take a trip along the beautiful Amalfi coast, called by many the most beautiful and romantic coast of Italy.

Simple accommodation, Super location
Simple accommodation but had everything we needed for a comfortable stay
Swimming pool was excellent!
Plot was in a quiet more secluded area of the campsite
Some sports facilities were tired but we didn’t use
Limited choice at the restaurant but what we had was tasty
We were pleased with the condition of the Happy Easy - it was simple and small inside but perfect for what we needed. The outside decking area was large and not expected- it was great to have meals and relax outside in the evening. We knew in advance the swimming pool closed between 1-4pm and caps were required, so we planned around this. The pool area was excellent condition and well maintained.
