There’s a public outdoor swimming pool just a short walk from the campsite. Here, on warm summer days, you can take a refreshing dip whilst the children enjoy a lovely afternoon of water fun. 

Whilst you enjoy the green surroundings, the children can explore the nature playground. Climbing, scrambling and making new holiday friends: the young adventurers have a great time on the climbing frame. Fancy going on an adventure together? Hire an e-bike from the campsite and cycle along the winding River Altmühl. The well-maintained cycle paths take you through green valleys and past charming Bavarian villages. Along the way, you can stop for a short break or to enjoy a beautiful view of the countryside. You don’t need to leave the campsite for your daily shopping. In the campsite shop, you can pick up fresh bread rolls for breakfast and find various practical essentials. Why not try some of the local specialities or pick up a regional beer? From Camping Altmühltal in Kipfenberg, you can explore a landscape full of green hills, unique rock formations and historic villages. The River Altmühl winds its way through the valley, providing a wonderful route for walks and cycle rides. A must for cycling enthusiasts is the famous Altmühltal Cycle Route. This cycle route, approximately 166 kilometres long, follows the river through the nature park. Walkers will also find plenty to enjoy here.
