The famous Vélodyssée cycle route runs right past the campsite and takes you past dunes, forests and characteristic villages. Also on foot you will discover beautiful nature here, such as the marshes of Olonne or the hiking trails in the national forest. A visit to Les Sables d’Olonne should not be missed. This lively seaside town surprises with lively markets, boutiques and a zoo. Just a little further away is the charming port town of Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, where you can stroll along the quay or settle down for an ice cream or lunch overlooking the sea. Want to do something special? Then hop on a boat to the island Yeu and discover its unspoiled nature by bike. Or drive to the island Noirmoutier, accessible via the famous Passage du Gois – a road visible only at low tide. A visit to the aquarium of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire or an afternoon in the region's botanical gardens is also definitely worthwhile.
