There is plenty of water fun at Les Jardins Catalans. There is a lovely heated swimming pool with a separate children's pool, and no fewer than 2 slides. Please note, bermuda/swimming shorts are prohibited in the pool. About a kilometre away is the wide sandy beach of Argelès. You can get there on foot, but the tourist train that runs from the campsites to Argelès also stops at the beach.

Les Jardins Catalans is a small campsite with all the facilities close together. Next to the pool is the children’s play area where the children can play to their heart’s content. You can grab a drink and a snack in the nearby restaurant, which is also a takeaway. Les Jardins Catalans also has a fantastic activities program for children in July and August and there is also a fitness centre.

The surrounding area of Les Jardins Catalans is beautiful and perfect for day trips. Of course there is the lively Argelès-sur-Mer, where you can grab something to eat in one of the restaurants. If you don’t want to travel too far, then there is the picturesque town of Collioure. If you travel a bit further afield visiting Barcelona or the Pyrenees is highly recommended. A trip in the little tourist train “Le Petit train Jaune” is a treat for any child.

We weren't allowed to enter the pool wearing regular swim trunks. My wife wasn't allowed to wear long swimwear in the chamois either. I found this a real disappointment. Because of this, we couldn't enjoy the pool.
Upon arrival check in staff kept ignoring me by having a chat with local guests
Speak bad english.
The surroundings were perfect. However, the fact that we weren't allowed to wear regular swimwear was a real disappointment. Swim trunks had to be above the knee and tight. I haven't seen or heard of this anywhere. This should have been indicated in advance. I would have made a different choice.
