At a five-minute walk from Lake Geneva, experience a camping holiday in the middle of the breathtakingly beautiful and green Haute-Savoie. This campsite in Messery is recommended for families who love nature, adventure and culture, but want to relax in the evening in their sheltered spot under the oak trees. The ideal balance!

Swimming facilities at Le Rélais du Léman campsite

No shortage of water fun. There is a spacious, heated swimming pool to cool off in during your camping holiday, but Lake Genève beckons less than 800 metres away on foot. Here, boating, diving, supping and surfing are popular, as is great swimming in the natural waters. A nice beach is less than a 15-minute drive away, in Excenevex. Daredevils who want to take a river descent at high speed will enjoy Rafting Loisirs.

 

Facilities at the campsite Le Rélais du Léman

The table tennis table, multi-sports court, playgrounds and petanque courts are pleasant meeting places for young and old. Entertainment is provided in the evenings, but it is not overpowering. At the snack bar, you can satisfy your appetite. Naturally, breakfast bread is available; more shopping or souvenirs can be found in the medieval town of Yvoire or at the supermarket in Messery.

Chalet not great but location great for exploring.

We stayed in a chalet. The kids beds were mattresses on the floor, not bunk beds as photographed! The only bed was so loud and uncomfortable, we didn’t use it and put the mattress on the floor! Our chalet was next to the cleaning supplies hut so it was always busy with staff ripping through on electric golf carts. The toilet waste would seep up through the bathroom floor so we made sure to flush the toilet a few times and shower down the floor before bed. Overall not great, but the site had a good location for exploring Lake Geneva, it was very close to Geneva and a short drive to Mt Blanc.
