During the months July and August the Water Park at camping L’Evasion is heated. The campsite is small and excellent, a bit dated but perfectly fine. The mobile home owner only spoke French but was very friendly and really went out of his way for us. He was already well retired but did everything he could to ensure we were happy. The campsite staff didn't make us feel welcome; they didn't make any effort to accommodate anyone who wasn't French. Furthermore, the pool, despite being indicated on the website, wasn't heated and was really cold. The website states the campsite is in the Dordogne, but we didn't check this ourselves, but it's an hour and a half outside of it and in a very deserted area, so we had to drive a long way for activities. There's no entertainment for children, despite the website stating so. The cottages and campsite are really geared towards French people from the big city who come there with their whole families, drinking and smoking weed all day long. The staff often gave us the cold shoulder and didn't speak a word of English, or simply ignored us.

We have enjoyed 2 and a half weeks. It is a somewhat smaller campsite where everything is available. The owner and the other staff are very friendly! We are certainly considering going back here.
