We were there in late June—a little before peak season—and it was just a bit boring. No entertainment, just lots of French retirees playing boules. On top of that, it was sweltering, but there weren’t enough shaded campsites. Overall, the campground just lacked charm; the restrooms were a bit run-down—and the beach didn’t make up for it. It’s quite narrow, and there’s an insane amount of “beach debris” lying around (thousands of so-called “sea balls,” for example). On top of that, there were no showers near the beach, no shopping options on the campground, and the restaurant had pretty high prices (presumably typical for France). We cut our stay short by three days, even though we didn’t get a refund from either the campground or Allcamps.
