If you’re looking for a large subtropical water park with thrilling slides, we’re afraid we’ll have to disappoint you: the campsite itself doesn’t have one. So what will you find here? Pure natural water! The campsite is situated right on the banks of the River Saalach. On the pebble beaches and the meadow by the water, children build dams, look for pretty stones and have a lovely splash about in the shallow bits. For those who really want to swim laps or whizz down water slides, the Lofer open-air swimming pool is just two kilometres away. During the summer months of July and August, you’ll receive the Salzburger Saalachtal Card with your stay. With this, you can visit this lovely swimming pool completely free of charge!

At this campsite, it’s all about space, comfort and making family life easier. The sanitary facilities here are truly top-notch. The special XXL family bathrooms offer you all the peace and space you need to shower and get the children dressed without any stress. The children will quickly make friends in the large outdoor playground, on the football pitch or in the indoor play area with table tennis. In high season, there’s also a fun entertainment team on hand. Whilst the children are being entertained, you can enjoy your own moment of tranquillity in the extensive Wellness Alm. Unwind in the various saunas or the infrared cabin. For your daily shopping, pick up fresh bread rolls in the morning from the campsite shop. Don’t fancy cooking? At the cosy Wirtshaus on the campsite, you can pull up a chair and enjoy tasty Austrian classics whilst looking out over the mountains from the sunny terrace.

From the campsite, you can step straight into the Alps. With the Almenwelt Lofer cable car – which you can use for free with your discount card – you’ll glide comfortably upwards to enjoy lovely walks with the whole family. Be sure to take a trip to the thrilling Vorderkaserklamm or the Seisenbergklamm. Here, you’ll walk along wooden walkways right past rushing water and towering cliffs – a great adventure for the children. The mysterious Lamprechtshöhle cave is also just around the corner. Fancy a day out soaking up some culture or doing a spot of shopping? It’s just a 45-minute drive to the charming city of Salzburg, where you can stroll through historic shopping streets and visit the famous castle.
