Camping Solcio

Camping Solcio has direct access to a sandy beach on Lake Maggiore, where you can relax under the parasols and on the sun loungers at no extra charge. The beach slopes gently into the lake, so it is ideal for children. Pedalo’s and canoes can be hired on site and you can also hire boats in the nearby marina.

You should definitely try out the campsite restaurant/pizzeria and as you can enjoy your delicious Italian meal on the terrace, you can take in the phenomenal views of Lake Maggiore. Camping Solcio organises music evens on a regular basis and don’t be surprised if you see some locals joining in! The entertainment team organises sports events and a baby club in high season. Camping Solcio has ping pong tables for the children and a bar for you to relax in the evenings. Directly outside the campsite you will find a variety of shops.

Near Camping Solcio the Borromeo islands are definitely worth a visit, you will be amazed by the beauty and splendour of Isola Bella and Isola Madre. If there is an exceptionally hot day you can cool off in the mountains by taking the cable car to Mottarone near Stesa. The spectacular train ride from Domodossola to Locarno in Switzerland is highly recommended and you can return home on the Lake Maggiore express boat! While you are staying at Camping Solcio you should take the opportunity to meander passed the Mondaine terraces of Stresa and explore some of the picturesque villages around the lake.
