Camping Lido Verbano is a great base for excursions in the surrounding area. Visit for example the picturesque village Stresa at the Lago Maggiore, from where you can take a boat trip to the Borromean Islands of Isola Madre, Isola Bella and Isola dei Pescatori. Just outside the village, there is a cable car to Mount Mottarone with an amazing view of the surroundings. The kids will love the exciting toboggan run down. Shopaholics travel just 1 hour to the metropolis of Milan. Here you can walk across Cathedral Square to the Cathedral of Milan, past the covered shopping arcade Galleria Vittoria Emanuele and Parco Sempione.
