Camping Domaine des Ormes is situated on a beautiful vast estate complete with a forest, lakes and a medieval castle at its heart. This area on the rugged Breton coast features a wealth of activities for both young and older.

Swimming facilities at Camping Domaine des Ormes

Camping Domaine des Ormes is a true water paradise. The swimming pool complex consists of 3 outdoor pools next to each other, for children there is the playfully set up outdoor pool with slides or the lagoon style wave pool and separate paddling pool. The indoor pool offers a tropical atmosphere; you will be swimming amongst the palm trees and relaxing in the Jacuzzi, whilst the children play on the 4-lane water slide.

The campsite and facilities at Camping Domaine des Ormes

At Camping Domaine des Ormes there are plenty of outdoor activities. For daredevils there is the spectacular adventure park and you can spend an afternoon paintballing with the whole family. Take to the lake and hire pedalos or canoes. If the children aren’t playing in the swimming pools, they can be found in the play area or on one of the sports fields. There is an 18-hole golf course for the golf lovers amongst you. You can also go horse riding, or take horse riding lessons at the Equestrian School. In addition to these activities the entertainment team organises a varied program. Enjoy the beautiful view of the lake whilst trying the delicious local crêpes in the campsite restaurant. The bar is the perfect place for a relaxing drink and the disco is open during high season.

Nearby Camping Domaine des Ormes

The area surrounding Camping Domaine des Ormes is lovely with its natural beauty and historic villages. The historic village of Dol-de-Bretagne is only 6 miles away. 16 miles from the campsite you will find the most beautiful beaches. A half an hour’s drive takes you to the pretty harbour town of St. Malo with its beautiful long beaches and the picturesque, rocky peninsula Mont St Michel. 

The campsite has embarked on a 2-year project to pedestrianise the centre and replace existing buildings. Phase 1 has started this winter meaning that some building work is visible i.e. a crane and construction workers are present in the centre, there is some noise although this does not affect the accommodation on site. The work will pause in high season (July/August). None of the facilities are affected and minimal discomfort may be caused. Family fun times in splendid surroundings.
On site facilities are fantastic and really well looked after.
Even though the camp was (we assume) full it didn't ever really feel overcrowded. Large site, easy to find a quiet corner.
Activities - special mention to the tree top adventure. We loved it
Some of the pitches are a bit of a long way from the main centre - maybe a problem if you don't have a bike.
Accomodation kitchen was a little tired.
Bit of shame the building work was still ongoing but didn't detract too much.
